Hi, we’re two girls from Sweden, having an internship at Glypt. We arrived to Thailand, Koh Samui, on the 11th of March. On our first day we met the office staff here and they’ve been very helpful and kind. We started by making some logo’s for a company here on the island. On the second day at work we went to a newly built house here on the island. It was the most beautiful house we’ve ever seen and we were there until noon, taking photos for a big project. We’ve also been editing pictures for customers and right now we’re working on a leaflet for a company in Bangkok. During the two weeks that’s left of our stay here we’re going to work with costumer projects and such. We have got a bunch of projects and they all seem very fun, making us use software we’ve used in school. This is a great experience for us, to get to use our skills in real life and see how we can adjust our work to fit different companies’ desires. We’re looking forward to these two weeks full of knowledge!

Here is a picture from when we took photos at the house. This picture will be edited to fit a 360° tour online.

360 Virtual Tour is making that first time impression count

If you have been looking for ways to bring a product to life online, then you may want to take a look at 360ฐ virtual tour. 360 virtual tours by Glypt, will allow you to showcase any business or business venture. If you have been thinking of creative ways to bring a plan you may have to life and give your viewer a real feel for what they are seeing, then a 360 virtual tour is the way of the future.

This method is all inclusive and is better than simply providing a 360 pan view. This is taking a virtual tour of the scenery while taking your client inside and outside of your image. Someone can actually use this process to fully view a floor plan, business, environment, or anywhere you can bring a camera. Showcasing your business using this method is simply fantastic. You can pick and choose where you want your client to visit and have that exact virtual tour assembled for you.

You have the options to pan and scroll, you can zoom in and out and you also have the option to choose a direction to move in. By simply clicking on arrows that are built into the program you can view everything as if you were standing there in person. This will add depth and desire in your clients because it gives them the look and feel of already being there. If you are using this for home or property sales, this is a very powerful tool.

The impression you want your client to have should help them make a buying decision the first time. Just sending your client pictures is absolutely one sided. Normally people will not make a decision based on simple pictures anyway, and to close a deal your client will typically want to see the home or property first. The power of the 360 virtual tour will, in all aspects of the word, “take your customer there” though images. These tools will surly give you the edge over the competition. Some of the benefits you could have using the 360 virtual tour:

1.) Your customer can use the browser of their choice to view full screen flash virtual images with absolutely no need to download anything to begin viewing.

2.) The photography is absolutely stunning with seamless imagery and professional editing that gives you a sense of realness and pleasure.

3.) The floor plan that you choose is interactive and will allow your client to experience complete and total control of their viewing experience.

4.) The 360 virtual tour also includes hotspots within the tour images.
5.) Your customer will have the capabilities to view sky and ceiling with tripod removal as well as 360 x 360 imaging that are all included.

6.) Faster web viewing because this page has been clean coded for maximum results and performance. This means quicker loading time as well.

7.) An integrated user interface and menu system with Full screen, map, hotspot, and a help feature to help those in need.

These are just some of the features your clients will experience if you incorporate this program on your web presence. You may be asking at this moment “What could the 360 virtual tour be used for?” and the answer to this questions is “Anything.” However, below we will make some suggestions for you.

1.) Holiday lets, Hotels and resorts.
2.) Theme parks or Visitor attractions
3.) Office rental or sales, Flat, Homes
4.) Gyms or Leisure attractions
5.) Office spaces or Businesses
6.) Properties or City views

With the 360 Virtual Tours, you are unlimited in the creative ways to bring that special place to life for your client.

How to find a professional web designer in Bankok

Website Design

Finding the right web designer in Bankok may present a challenge if you aren’t really sure what you need to look for. You may even have specific needs and ideas and really want a way to bring these needs and ideas to life. In this article we will talk about ways you can effectively choose a web designer for whatever type of project you may be working on. Finding the right web designer will take a little effort on your part especially if you are looking for web design Bangkok or Kou Samui in Thailand.

Finding a professional web design company is not difficult, you just have to find out what your needs are first. Before you start any type of web designer search, you need to find out what type of budget you have to work with. This will let you know whether you will look for a professional web design company or a simple freelance web designer. So what are you really looking for? Are you looking for someone that has amazing and creative talents, a portfolio and history of web design, or will you simply settle for recommendations from friends or other business associates.

The best way to choose a web designer is by looking through some of their previous work, so if they have a portfolio, this is the best method by far. The reason for this is, after viewing past history and designs, if you are not interested there is no need to continue looking further. If you’ve been directed to look at different sites that they have created, make sure they don’t all look the same. Always make sure the web pages load quickly and that they navigate with ease. If they load slowly and are hard to understand, you don’t want to waste too much time with this choice.

When you find a designer use these questions to ask as guidelines:

1.) If your company site requires a logo, ask the designer how they would go about the branding process, and – how can they build on the current branding that you’ve already established.

2.) Design concepts: you want to know, how many will be created.

3.) Ask the web designer about coding and validation to make sure the website HTML or CSS coding has no errors.

4.) Ask about targeting certain audiences and what types of browsers you’ll want to support. This is important because certain audiences will use different browsers and if you are targeting a specific audience you may want to take this into consideration.

5.) E-commerce is very important and this is something you will want to know, and if the designer is not qualified you may simply ask to make sure this can be added at a later time.

6.) Will there be any type of content management or (CMS)? this makes it possible for you to manage text without changing any of the web pages coding. There are a lot of developers that offer this particular service and it might be something to look into if you feel you may use this option in the future.

7.) Does your web designer know anything about marketing or SEO content rich web design? This may come in handy if you are trying to drive traffic to your web presence and to create relative content to promote your website to get a higher ranking on different search engines.

8.) If you are having a site that will promote certain affiliate items, will your web designer take these things into consideration and provide ways to display ads, banners, and pay-per-click links.

These are only questions to ask a designer once you have all of your wants and needs listed. If you are looking for web design Bangkok or Koh Samui in Thailand, help is only a click away.

Friday morning, another lovely sunshine day here in Bangkok Thailand. Today is the Buddha’s day and it is a Buddhist holiday, we all Thai known as a “Makha Bucha Day” also called Sangtha Day. So I thought I could spare sometimes to update something that we do in Glypt studio which also related to Buddhisms and art-ism together.

I personally love being artist in both front of computer and canvas. I always put my artist’s skill on computer before I turn them into a reality object likes painting.

Painting below is one of the artwork collection we have done in Glypt:

The Circle of Life - Hand Painted Oil Painting on Canvas

Buddhism art painting

Painting Name: The Circle of Life Painting

The inspiration for this painting is to make them look abstracts and brownish colour something that brings out of a spiritual in Budhisms.

We also use gold leafs and silver leafs over the painting surface to increase textures.

The original dimension is 90×136.24cm of the painting, they also can be divided by 3 canvases or 1 piece of canvas is up to your desire.

You can check out more on the variation in size of this artwork here:

Having Your First Website

Every organization or business needs a website; else can you promote your products or services when people do not even know that you exist? A website is vital to make your company’s presence known and subsequently, encourage the public to engage your service or to purchase your product. A website is also essential for letting people know the promotions that you have, as well as to gain their trust and confidence. Customers and clients would have confidence in dealing with a company that has a proper website instead of one that is promoted merely by pamphlets or word of mouth.

So now that you have decided to get a website for your company, what are the must-haves? First, regardless of whether you want to establish an e-commerce website or CMS website, you need to register a domain name. Your organization or business looks more reliable if it has a yourname.com domain instead of a yourname.blogspot.com domain. Next, choose a domain name that best reflects your product or service. It must be one that is easy to remember and mustn’t be too complicated as well.

Then, you need to decide on details related to design. These include the logo design, the graphic design and the HTML standard web design. If these sound too alien for you, then it is best that you engage a web designer or a web design company to take care of those for you. It will be difficult for you to DIY if you have no knowledge on designs and even if you do, you can leave this to the experts so that you can spend more time on the important parts of the business, which is to develop it.

When deciding on a web designer or a web design company, you should always take a look at their portfolio before coming to a decision. This is most important, followed by other factors such as the costs, experience and value added services thrown in.

If your business in Thailand needs a website, you can easily find a good Thailand web designer or a reputable Bangkok web design company to create a professional look for your website.

Glypt Web Designs is full service design company based whom can encompass all creative and strategic aspects of your project, from consultation to launch. By ‘fusing’ together media from an ever-growing range of sources such as; print, photography, databases, film, multi-media and the Internet, we are able to create dynamic interactive content to suit any requirement.

I have been experimenting with Balsamiq Mockup online free software following a recommendation from a friend ours whom also runs a web design company.

I usually sketch blueprints out on paper, which usually takes 5-15 minutes if I have a clear idea in my head for the website layout. The sketches are very rough and I often have to sit with a graphic designer to explain my sketch in further detail.

My first attempt at Balsamiq, it took me 40 minutes to come up with the layout below (which is for a live project). This is not too bad as I was getting familiar with the software and experimented with the layout a bit. Being able to easily move things round is far more effective than using pen and paper (I’d usually start again if I wanted to come up with a new design). Being able to drag and drop common website features onto a design should help both my productivity and the graphic designers understanding.

I’m keen to try out the full unrestricted desktop software more and intend to get my hands on a desktop version into customer proofing and the design process.

Will the prospect of a global recession have an effect on Web Design and Search Engine Optimization companies?

I’m sitting in a café up here in Inwood and I overhear three guys doing a deal.

The customer is an architect or interior designer. He wants a new Web site so his customers can find his shop — online and off — and can see the construction companies and contractors he likes to work with. “Pictures are nice, but not necessary,” he says. The two guys at the table with him are local Web designers.

After the customer leaves, I ask one of the designers how’s business, since, you know, everything blew up.

“Actually it’s very good,” he tells me. But I’m skeptical. How could it be? Everyone’s hurting.

“Well, people are looking for cost-effective ways to market themselves and redesigning their Web site is a relatively cheap alternative,” says the designer.

It’s true: I think I heard them offer to do the job for the architect for something like $1,300.

“Also it’s its a one-time charge. Advertising only lasts for a certain amount of time and then you have to pay more.”

The designer says another good business right now is search engine optimization (SEO), which is the polite way of describing the business of tweaking Web sites so they’ll appear higher in natural search results.

This makes sense to me. Paying a one-time fee for a SEO re-vamp is probably a lot cheaper than paying for clicks each month. Maybe when cash is easier again, you’ll do both.

Anyway, this news is from just one source and I overheard most of the details, so take it for what it is — a little bit of murky, anecdotal good news, at a time when the bad news is painfully obvious.

Congressman Charles B. Rangel reportedly paid his son $57,500 for web design. Not surprisingly there has been much scrutiny over the amount he has paid out of campaign funds.

So do I think that $57,500 was a fare price? I don’t know how much work went in to it as their is an infinite amount of work that could be done including search engine optimization (SEO), photographs, updates etc! However, this is a huge amount of money for a website, and it certainly wouldn’t of cost that much for Glypt to do the website.

What you’d get at Glypt for $57,500:

9 years of SEO

12 e-commerce websites with 1000‘s of products

69 real estate websites

69 online booking websites

104 Interactive 360 degree Virtual Tours

104 websites with Content Management System (CMS)

138 blog website designs

173 five page websites

431 years of web hosting

986 hand painted oil paintings

4140 hours of graphic design

I think we can all make our own mind up on whether $57’500 was a fair price for the web design work that was undertaken. But it’s possibly unfair to compare our Thailand web design prices with that of a person/company based in the United States.
